Bio:

I guess i should tell you about Morthos Stonesledge and why he does what he does, as he walks off in the distance towards another adventure.

Well…... lets start at the beginning.

Morthos is born out of reolis and leanna stonesledge.

At the age of thirteen he learned the hard way that being the eldest of five is a tough life. His parents decided to move to Atlurur mountains from a secret tribe town on one of the Miri mountains, because his family were forced to flee because of accusation of heresy. They had spoken ill of the local mistress of magma. They found it rather curious that none of the children of the mistress were sacrificed to the lava god, while others had already sacrificed 3 or four of them and Morthos was the next in line.

After a year they reached the base of the Atlurur mountains at the end of the day. While searching for a place to sleep they stumbled across a cave dwelling inhabited by goblins. His parent led Morthos and his little brothers and sisters to a wayward pine and told him to make sure they didn’t leave it till his parents came back to get them. While Morthos kept watch over his little brothers and sisters his parents sneaked in the cave dwelling. They saw that the goblins were conducting some kind of ritual for the Raven Queen. when they tried to get closer, Reolis accidentally knocked a little pebble down on the statue of the Raven Queen. Was their imagination or was the statue suddenly looking at them? Out of nowhere goblins came in sight and blocked their way out.

Meanwhile Morthos was getting worried about his parents and quietly got up and came after his parents while his siblings were sleeping. When he came to the same place his parents saw the ritual, he saw that two vaguely familiar figures were tied to a sacrificial altar in front of a statue of the Raven Queen. With a sudden realization it hit him. ...... They were his parents!! quickly his held his hands for his mouth so he wouldn’t let a yelp out as he watched entranced at the sacrificial rite. they were being cut open and their blood was collected in a crystal bowl with gold augmentations. The hooded figure preforming the rite set the bowl at the lips of the statue and tilted it. At the moment the blood of his parents hit the lips of the statue they disappeared in a dark ripple.

In fear and despair Morthos fled quietly. He woke his siblings and fled with them in the night to wards a settlement he saw in the distance.

In the years after he found for his brothers and sisters jobs and housing. At first he had to work till deep in the night until two of them came of age to work for them selfs and the others.

After he saw that they were able to stand on their own legs and take care of each other and the younger siblings. he left to seek a way to make enough money for a little mountain goat farm for them all so they could live the end of their days together and to provide future relatives of income.

When he came to the big city, he was recruited by one of the bigger guilds as an adventurer/ guild law enforcer. This was mostly because he was bigger than most people in town, and the markings on his skin made people feel uncomfortable being around him. For Morthos was this a welcome surprise and a great step up toward his dream. The duties he least liked were collecting contribution for membership and protection by the guild, and body guarding the guild leader at rituals. He saw every little girl at the ritual bringing gifts to the altar, being sacrificed in his mind like his parents were, only now the statue was replaced by the guild leader. His days off he used learning about magic and swordplay, and how to combine the two of them.

As people didn’t like being around him, he did not feel much to be around others. There were just a few he trusted enough to let close to him. Most of the guild patrons he endured around him because he had to protect them. At his graduation ritual where he had to prove that he had mastered the art of the Swordmages, the people closest to him had to tie him up and drag him to the ritual. He kept squirming and screaming the whole time “I won’t be sacrificed, you will never get me alive” They finally had to sedate him. He woke up at the ritual place. It was a sort of smithy. He had to make a sword that would become his first sword in his new profession. He choose to make a greatsword. After that he was taken to the council of elders where he had to do a blood bonding ritual with his just made greatsword.
